Field Trips and Outreach is offered in partnership by UF’s Center for Precollegiate Education and Training (CPET) and the UF Health Academy for Science & Careers.
Bring science to life with a customized visit to the University of Florida. Field Trips & Outreach gives 6 – 12 students opportunities to participate in hands-on science activities and experience the university environment while exploring STEM, health, and research-related careers.
Visits are developed around the interests, grade level, and learning goals of each group and may include hands-on laboratory activities, demonstrations, and other interactive science experiences. When available, we may also help coordinate visits to resources such as the Natural Area Teaching Laboratory (NATL) or the Florida Museum of Natural History.
Groups interested in a general UF campus tour are encouraged to arrange that portion of their visit directly through UF Admissions, while ASC/CPET focuses on the science and educational components of the day.
Scheduling windows: Field Trips & Outreach are generally offered mid-September through November and mid-January through April. Activities and tour opportunities depend on availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Program fees: Standard hands-on lab experiences start at $30 per student. Customized experiences start at $50 per student. Lunch may be added for $12 per person. Final cost depends on the activities and itinerary selected for your group.
