
HealthStreet is a community engagement program at the University of Florida with a mission to reduce disparities in access to health services and research. HealthStreet community health workers help bridge the gap between community members and resources available to them, including medical and social services and opportunities to participate in research that is relevant to their health concerns and conditions.

Our Community Our Health
OCOH is a collaborative partnership between communities in Florida, Missouri, Minnesota, New York, California, and Kentucky, launched by HealthStreet and the UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute with a goal to combine science and community engagement to discover new and better ways people can stay safe during airborne illness as well as other diseases and disorders. The program hosts a monthly Town Hall forum to connect researchers and the community to discuss health research and the role of community in healthcare.

C.A.M.E.O. Program
C.A.M.E.O.is a volunteering an internship program at HealthStreet that provides opportunities for collaboration and participation in innovative community engagement. Participants can take part in five core initiatives to support the HealthStreet mission:
- Communication strategies
- Analysis of data
- community-engaged program Management
- community health Education
- Outreach
Volunteers and Interns must commit to 10 hours per week for one semester for interns, two semesters for volunteers, and be available on evenings and weekends.
