Each workshop combines hands-on experimentation, data analysis, and practical teaching ideas—so you leave with more than inspiration: you leave with experiences and resources you can use with students.
October 3, 2026 — Go With the Flow: Hands-On Fluid Mechanics for the Classroom
Explore viscosity, pressure, gravity-driven flow, and experimental design through hands-on investigations with Dr. Matthew Traum, UF Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
Teachers will collect and interpret real data, design a short investigation, and consider ways to adapt fluid mechanics concepts for secondary science classrooms.
December 5, 2026 — From Seed to Speed: EPA Bioassays, Model Organisms, and Data Analysis
Investigate how scientists use model organisms and bioassays to examine biological effects and dose-response relationships.
Teachers will gather and analyze data, evaluate evidence, and develop evidence-based conclusions while exploring ways to bring authentic scientific investigation into the classroom.
